I am Lynn and owner of Blooming Useful Floral Art & Design. I am a studio based florist specialising in all things floral especially bespoke floral designs in the Bisley area. My mission is to create statements and special moments through flowers.
My floral journey first started back in my early childhood. I can remember joining my mother in WI flower competitions, designing a small garden on a plate, with a tin foil pond and sandy soil for the flowers. I continued my flower journey as a hobby, and produced a range of small designs as gifts for special friends. Sadly in later life, and after the birth of my two fabulous children, my husband was taken ill and passed away. This changed my outlook on life and it was then that I decided to make every moment count. I decided to do a few short courses in floristry. Eventually when the children grew up I went back to college and did A levels 3,4 5 in Floral Art and became qualified as a “Master Florist”. During my time at college I was lucky enough to exhibit at both Hampton Court Flower show and became a semi finalist (with Merrist Wood College) at Chelsea Flower Show in 2017.
Since then the business has gone from strength to strength with Lynn gaining a teaching qualification and going on to both teach and demonstrate at the Ideal Home Christmas show in Olympia for a number of years. “It’s the best thing I ever did. Very few people like their jobs in this day and age, so Blooming Useful Floral Art & Design was born in September 2011.
